The type of personal information we collect
We currently collect and process the following information:
- Account details including a username and email address
- Workout information including the time of workout, a score, and exercise metrics such as repetition counts. We will inform you of updates to this as RealFit supports more features.
How we get the personal information and why we have it
Personal information is provided to us directly by you when you create a RealFit user profile. Creating a user profile enables:
- Cross-platform and cross-device access to your workout information
- Sharing the RealFit application with multiple users while keeping personal information separated If you use a RealFit user profile then workout information is recorded at the end of each workout. This information lets you see your own workout history as an overview and breakdown.
How we use your information
We use the information that you have given us in order to uniquely identify you for saving and retrieving your personal workout information.
We use Amazon AWS services for authenticating access to the RealFit service and for storing our database of application information. Through our contract with Amazon they are bound to adhere to EU model clauses meaning "personal data on AWS will be given the same high level of protection it receives in the EEA" ( Please see here for more details: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/security/aws-gdpr-data-processing-addendum/)
Legal Bases
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
- When the processing is necessary to perform a contract with you, like the Terms of Service; and
- RealFit's legitimate interest, such as in improving, personalising, and developing the services
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored using Amazon AWS services, currently in Ireland.
We keep profile information until you delete your account, which you can do at any time through the application.
You can also choose to delete specific workout information (for example custom workouts) through the application at any time.
When deleting your account there may be a delay of up to 7 days before the information is fully deleted from the AWS servers due to our database backup policy.
Your data protection rights
Under EU and UK data protection law, you have rights including:
Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
